Greg Mortenson's book, "Three Cups of Tea" tells the story of one man's mission to EDUCATE Pakistani/Afghani children, inspired Patty Simon to CREATE a MULTICULTURAL mask installation with all proceeds going to BUILD SCHOOLS through the Central Asia Institute. I chose masks because they are used in many cultures and celebrate the diversity of HUMANITY! The mask looks back at you and asks the viewer, What can you do to MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE?
